The problem of misidentification and cross-contamination of mammalian cells used in biomedical research has always been an urgent and major problem that needs to be solved. A large number of studies have shown that STR genotyping is one of the most effective and accurate methods for cell cross-contamination and property identification. STR has been widely used in paternity testing, individual identification, forensic identification, traffic accident identification, and monitoring of chimerism after (hematopoietic stem cell) transplantation treatment.
